HMS Demands Ratification of ILO Conventions 87 & 98 during May Day Celebrations

Hind Mazdoor Sabha as a part of their national campaign for ratification of ILO Core Conventions raised the issue of ratification of the ILO conventions 87 & 98 while celebrating May Day. Accordingly, all affiliates of Hind Mazdoor Sabha demanded ratification of ILO Conventions 87-98 by the Government of India during May Day celebrations throughout the nation. Few to mention are:-


VIDYUT MAZDOOR PANCHAYAT, GAZIPUR  -
A grand march past of thousands of workers of Vidyut Mazdoor Panchayat took place   in Gazipur which converted in mass meeting at Ramlila Maidan , Lanka, Gazipur (UP).
Comrade Umraomal Purohit, General Secretary, Hind Mazdoor Sabha and comrade Shiva Gopal Mishra, General Secretary, All India Railway men’s Federation while addressing the gathering demanded immediate ratification of ILO conventions 87 & 98 by the Government of India.


IN DELHI - a massive rally started from Ramlila ground and reached Town Hall where it was converted into a mass meeting. Speakers stressed the need of ratification ILO Conventions 87- 98.
In a similar rally organised at Gurgaon (Haryana) Comrade A. D. Nagpal, Secretary, HMS louded the need of ratification of both the conventions.


North Western Railway Employees Union organised meetings at Ajmer, Jodhpur, Jaipur.
NRMU (Central Railway) organised meetings at Matunga, CST Auditorium, Kalyan, Bhusaval, Nagpur, Pune, Betul,Amla, Solapur, Wadi.
South Central Railway men’s Union organised rally and meetings at Secundrabad, Mettuguda, Lallguda etc.
North Frontier Railway Mazdoor Union organised rallies and meetings at Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Lumding, Badarpur, Pandu, New Bongaigaon, Alipurduar Junction, Katihar and at many other places.


The workers at all places demanded ratification of ILO Conventions 87 & 98.
